In this foundational retreat, we embark on an experiential journey to awaken and heal our sacred womb space. Our womb is a power place, much more than a physiological organ that bleeds and births children. Many ancient traditions all over the world speak of the womb in symbolic terms. Think of the holy grail and the lotus flower. But for thousands of years the womb has been forgotten as the seat of our soul, the root of our creativity, vitality and spirituality. We will re-align the womb with all of the energy centers so that we can unlock the keys to the trinity of our real feminine power: an intuitive mind, a compassionate heart, and a creative womb. With powerful tools and practices based on ancient traditions and modern insights, we release our feminine wounds and reclaim our original feminine blueprint that has long been distorted on our planet. This live retreat takes place in the enigmatic Cathar region in the South of France. We will combine some of our inner work practices with visits to sacred sites and powerful places in nature.
Villa Sainte Marie, where you will be lodged, is an exceptional and healing place that used to belong to the nuns of Cluny and afterwards to a pioneer in permaculture. We sleep in the main house behind cute blue shutters, or in wooden houses and glamping tents between the fruit trees on the land. We do the process work in the beautiful temple tent under the protection of a female taxus tree.
Limoux lies half an hour below Carcassonne. Carcasonne airport is at 30min by car and Toulouse airport 1.5h driving. Limoux has a train station. We provide transport to and from the airport.
Hello, my name is Mieke Anthuenis (1972). I am a womb awakening teacher, shamanic womb healer and priestess, menstrual mentor and yoni steam facilitator. My life is dedicated to birthing the new earth and bringing back ancient feminine wisdom, healing arts and spirituality. Since 2005, I have been walking a shamanic path with strong influence from my time in Peru and Colombia and the teachers I met there. I am trained in core shamanism (Michael Harner) and womb shamanism (Fountain of Life, Sanctuary of Sofia and Sacred Woman Awakening). Since 2018, I work as a Moon Mother (level 3) and Vaginal Steam facilitator (Peristeam Hydrotherapy Institute). With a background in shiatsu and tuina, I seek to bring in the rich and old eastern view on womxn’s well-being. In my retreats and 1-on-1 sessions, I blend these modalities together, based on the needs of the client, to facilitate a deep and safe space for healing and transformation. I work with persons in all seasons of their life, with or without a womb, with or without a period. I am co-author of the best-selling book Return To the Motherworld and run retreats and pilgrimages in the legendary Cathar region in the South of France.
