May 28 — weaving the red thread

What if on May 28, a living red thread begins to pulse across the Earth?

A thread of Hope.
A thread of cyclical wisdom.
A thread reconnecting humanity to the sacred intelligence of life itself.

Menstrual Hope Day invites us to remember menstruation as far more than biology.
It is a living rhythm.
A sacred language of death and rebirth.
A feminine pulse that belongs to both personal healing and the collective transformation of our world.

For centuries, menstrual wisdom lived close to the Earth, the moon, the mysteries, and the cycles of nature.
Today, many people long to feel that connection again.

In a world moving through overwhelm, polarization, exhaustion, loneliness, disconnection, and war, Menstrual Hope opens…

a return to ritual.
a return to the body.
a return to the wisdom of cycles.
a return to the sacred feminine.
a return to one another.

A return to Hope.

Because hope is more than optimism.

Hope is remembering that life regenerates.
That the womb knows how to shed and renew.
That endings create space for new worlds to emerge.

And perhaps this is why the ancient prophecies still move through so many hearts:

“When women start again to give their moonblood to the Earth, men will come home from war and there will be peace.”

“When 1000 Taras unite, the world will shift from fear to compassion.”

May 28 becomes an invitation to weave that Hope together. 🌹

join the weaving

You are invited to participate in any way that feels true and accessible for you. There are 3 ways to join the weaving.

1. Weave The Red Thread

The heart of this year’s invitation is beautifully simple.

On May 28, you are invited to:

🌹 Weave or hold a red thread

🌹 Take a photo with it if you wish

🌹 Share it on your socials

🌹 Use the hashtags #MenstrualHopeMovement #MenstrualHopeDay

🌹 Share your picture in the Menstrual Hope Hub on FB.

This simple gesture already becomes part of the weaving.

A red ribbon.
A bracelet.
A thread around a tree.
A thread on your altar.
A thread held between friends.

Every gesture matters.

2. Host Or Attend A Circle

A circle can be simple.
A circle can be small.

Two women gathering is enough.

You alone, offering your moonblood to nature, is enough

A living room, a garden, a candle, an online gathering… is enough.

Even a moment shared privately with friends to honor the feminine and the wisdom of cycles is part of the weaving.

You do not need to be an expert.
You do not need a perfect ritual.

Your presence and intention are enough.

How to weave a circle?

A simple ritual guide will be shared soon to support those who feel called to host.

When you announce your circle, please mention the following:

“This circle is part of the global Menstrual Hope Day weaving taking place on May 28. We will weave/hold the Red Thread as a symbol of hope, remembrance, cycles, and peace. On this day, women and womb-keepers across the world are weaving the Red Thread.”

Use the hashtags #MenstrualHopeMovement #MenstrualHopeDay
