A Sacred New Moon Circle for Womb & Sisterhood

Every New Moon, we gather online in sacred sisterhood to reconnect with our womb wisdom — to rest, release, and remember.

What is The Red Tara Tent?

The Red Tara Tent is a sacred online circle held every New Moon — a space of remembrance, rest, and reconnection.

It is a gathering of women and womb-holders who come together to honor the wisdom of the womb and the cyclical nature of life.

Within this sanctuary, we listen deeply, share from the heart, and allow whatever arises — emotions, visions, or silence — to be held in love.

The Red Tara Tent is a place to belong, to exhale, and to remember who you are beneath the noise of the world.

This is for you if...

• You feel called to reconnect with your womb and feminine essence.
• You long for a sacred pause — a moment of stillness, rest, and renewal.
• You wish to honor your cyclical nature and live in harmony with the Moon.
• You are ready to be held in sisterhood, to share, and to simply be.
• You seek a deeper relationship with your intuition and inner rhythm.

Whether you are bleeding, in moon-a-pause, or no longer have a physical womb: you are welcome here.

These journeys are not recommended during pregnancy, as the New Moon energy invites release.

What Happens in the Tent

Just as our foremothers once did during their bleeding time, we withdraw from the ordinary world and enter a sacred space of rest and renewal.

The circle unfolds gently, guided by Mieke:

  • Landing & Transmission — we arrive, breathe, and open the field together.
  • Guided Womb Meditation — a descent into stillness and body wisdom, connecting to the medicine of the bleeding time.
  • Sharing Circle — stories, tears, laughter, and truth are welcomed and witnessed.

Each gathering is unique — woven by the women who come together and the moon that guides us.

In this sacred space, we use the energy of the womb and, for those who bleed, the menstrual blood itself as a shamanic tool for deep inner journeying and healing.

The quality of space you offer us in these gatherings is beyond words,
deep and ancient womb magic remembrance. The Red Tara Tent has the most
beautiful impact on my life and healing journey, each and every time I join.

Thank you Mieke, be blessed, and all my love to you sister.

Thank you sincerely for gathering us along the path and sharing your offerings in this way. This Sunday’s journey was truly such a gift that has been carrying with me. A true offering of the Womb, Heart, Soul. Given in generosity for healing and love. So much gratitude to you ~ may you receive abundantly in reciprocity for this sacred service.

Echt heel prachtig.

The Deeper Why

Menstruation has always been a sacred technology, a portal to vision, prophecy, and renewal.

The Red Tara Tent revives this ancient practice for a new era, a time when remembering the wisdom of the womb becomes an act of collective healing.

When we honor our bleeding time, we open the gates to deep restoration : for ourselves, for the Earth, and for the generations to come.

Even if you no longer bleed, you can always (re)connect with the spirit and energy of the moontime . The same current of release and renewal that flows through every cycle of life.

Have you ever heard of a shamanic journey?

A shamanic journey is more than a meditation — it’s a sacred exploration of the unseen world.

During our moontime, we naturally enter an altered state of consciousness where intuition heightens and the boundaries between worlds grow thin.

In the Red Tara Tent, we learn to work with this energy consciously, transforming our moontime into a portal for wisdom, healing, and renewal.

A shamanic journey is a guided inner voyage — a practice rooted in ancient traditions where we travel through the invisible realms to find healing and insight.

Rather than using logic or thought, we navigate these spaces through imagination, trance, and intuition.

During our bleeding time, we are naturally predisposed for this kind of journeying. The moontime draws our energy inward; our senses become sharper, our awareness expands, and our body asks for withdrawal and stillness.

When the blood flows, visions and intuition also flow.

Fun fact: the word ritual originates from the Sanskrit ṛtu, meaning menstrual blood.

This phase of the cycle is the perfect moment for inner travel — the very reason so many myths speak of a descent into the underworld. Persephone, Snow White, and Little Red Riding Hood all represent this journey into the depths of the feminine psyche, returning with gifts of renewal and prophecy.

In ancient Mayan traditions, menstruating women shared their dreams with the tribe, as these visions were believed to hold prophetic insight for the whole community.

Menstruation was humanity’s first spiritual technology.

At Red Tara Tree, we seek to restore this sacred practice for a new era — honoring the womb as a living portal of wisdom.

In the Red Tara Tent, we enter this realm together through guided visualization and sharing, allowing our blood — or its energetic equivalent — to awaken our intuitive and healing capacities.

This sacred work nourishes deep personal healing and ripples outward to heal the collective.
